The Phi Phi Islands are an island group in Thailand between the large island of Phuket and the Straits of Malacca coast of Thailand. The islands are administratively part of Krabi Province. Ko Phi Phi Don is the largest and most populated island of the group, although the beaches of the second largest island, Ko Phi Phi Leare visited by many people as well. The rest of the islands in the group, including Bida Nok, Bida Nai, and Ko Mai Phai, are not much more than large limestone rocks jutting out of the sea. The islands are reachable by ferries, speedboats or long-tail boats, most often from Krabi town or from ports in Phuket Province.

Ko Hong is the largest island of Laopilae archipelago that is located in Thanbok Khoranee National Park. The island has been called ‘The Emerald of Krabi’s Sea’ because it has stunning scenery and clear water and is surrounded by coral reefs. The place of interest in the island is Pilae beach, the beach that is divided into two sections like a bird wing and has white sand and clear water and small magnificent fish are swimming everywhere. Another interesting place is Hong Beach, which is like a large natural pool, surrounded by steep cliffs like a room, has one-way entrance only about 10 meters wide. This type of landscape is called lagoon. It can be entered by boat or kayak. The water is shallow and clear and great for swimming. Ko Hong can be traveled the whole year but the best season is between November and May.
